Change Manager – 5074 LBD

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a Change Manager on 12 month contract basis with possible extension in Valais, Switzerland. The Change Manager will manage and coordinate all changes for the client's Project as part of the project controls team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and administer the project change control procedure and potential / project change logs.
  • To be the lead contact regarding change management on the project.
  • To drive the relevant clients and contractor individuals to complete any outstanding change actions.
  • To communicate the status of changes to the project team as required.
  • To maintain change awareness in project personnel and monitor for change activity.
  • To co-ordinate change meetings and ensure the correct team members attend the review panel.
  • To identify all project areas potentially affected by the change.
  • To co-ordinate with the project area leaders (Operation, Design, Quality, Construction, CQV) to define the extent of the scope changes.
  • To support order of magnitude (OME) estimates and schedule impacts of potential changes/change requests.
  • To raise potential change requests in systems for those requesters outside of client's with no access.
  • To support and control project change requests through to final approval.
  • To assist and support the project across the change management process.
  • To support any other ad-hoc activities the project.


  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • Degree from an accredited college or university. Engineering, Science, or Business Management degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Excellent command of English required. Business fluent in German an advantage.
  • 8+ years of experience in large (> 100 Mio CHF) projects. Preferable to also have experience being part of a cross-functional team on large scale projects.
  • Ability to interpret data in a consistent and efficient manner and articulate relevant information to senior management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Microsoft office proficient.
  • Experience working in a global environment.
  • Experience in Biopharmaceutical facilities, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to conduct analysis of complex/large data sets, draw conclusions accordingly, and prepare and support decisions.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity – can conform to shifting priorities, and demands.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment.
