Head of IT Platform Services – 5138 URA

Our client is a leading Medical Technology company in Switzerland. It is headquartered in Central Switzerland and has a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners. For our clients Technology division in the Corporate IT department, we are looking for a technically experienced German Speaking Head of IT Platform Services for a permanent role to be based in Central Switzerland area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical, personnel and financial management of the four teams Server & Data, Network & Security, Workplaces & Automation and Operational Technology
  • Sparring partner for various stakeholders in the areas of collaboration, communication, platform operation, cloud architecture and operation
  • Development and further development of the ICT Platform Services Architecture
  • Development and implementation of the data center strategy and ensuring integration into the IT service portfolio
  • Recording and coordination of requirements with the various service recipients (BA & CA) for the optimal design of the service portfolio
  • Evaluation and procurement of required hardware, operational, communication and security components
  • Planning and implementation of ICT projects

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
  • Basic commercial or technical training related to computer science or Matura and comparable professional experience in the IT environment
  • Further education in the field of computer science, business informatics or industrial engineering (university/FH, HF)
  • Many years of experience in ICT operations, ICT infrastructure and ICT platform services
  • Professional experience in project management, experience in the agile project environment is an advantage
  • Networked thinking and entrepreneurial action
  • Good knowledge of German and English, spoken and written
