Lab Technician (6291)
Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a Lab Technician for a 6 months contract. The job is located in Basel, Switzerland.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests or other laboratory work using conventional and computerized machines and work aids.
- Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
- Perform laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.
- Set up, readjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Analyze samples for a variety of compound classes, including small molecules, oligonucleotides, and proteins, using HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, SFC, GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, and RapidFire-MS.
- Interpret analytical data, utilizing statistical tools as needed.
- Document analytical raw data using a specific LIMS system to track samples and analyses.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
- A degree or apprenticeship in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
- Excellent communication, reporting and scientific skills
- Detail oriented and excellent ability to interpret complex analytical data
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Enthusiastic and open-minded combined with good inter-personal skills
- Willingness to learn and carry out new and complex tasks
- Proactive attitude
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
