Manager Strategic Purchasing (Direct Spend)

Our client is a leading Medical Technology company headquartered in Central Switzerland and has a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners. We are looking for a Manager Strategic Purchasing (Direct Spend) for a permanent role to be based in Central Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the purchasing team;
  • Work closely with the Head of Purchasing on the implementation of purchasing strategy;
  • Development solutions ensuring security of supply;
  • Provide support in the development of new projects from conception, coordination with strategic buyers, and finalization, always keeping sustainability as a key strategic objective;
  • Participate in budgeting of the department, budget control and managing departmental key figures;
  • Be responsible for the strategic purchasing of individual product groups and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
  • Degree or vocational training, several years of experience as a buyer (with federal Professional qualification or equivalent);
  • Experience leading teams and developing projects; 
  • Very good experience in SAP R3 and/or S4HANA (MM module)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.
