(Senior) Scientist (m/w/d)

For the site located in Marburg, Germany, we are looking for 2 (Senior ) Scientists to step in a contract role for 6-16 months on a temporary basis (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) .

This is a hands-on role in laboratory, where you will be involved in development, planning and execution of experimental study designs and operation of complex equipment with focus on preparative and analytical method development and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and analyze laboratory work and communicate outcome to manager and in team meetings

• Development of experimental study designs in coordination with the supervisor

• Planning and execution of experiments including data analysis and communication of results usually to the manager or, if applicable, to the project team in the form of a report or presentation

• Evaluation of the results of the experiments as well as derivation of recommendations for action

• Operation of complex equipment, program scripting and processing and preparation of raw data from analyses

• Contributions at congresses, preparation of publication drafts

• Procurement, collection, preparation and distribution of samples also in coordination with other departments

• Technical collaboration on local and global projects

• Coordination of research projects as Project Scientific Coordinator

• Technical contact as expert for specific processes and devices

• Contacting and obtaining information from external providers and collaboration partners

• Support in the preparation of written contributions for regulatory documents (e.g. applications for approval of active ingredients)

• Drafting and revising technical documents, including work instructions, test or process protocols and reports (relevant for submission, if applicable)

• Performing maintenance/calibration work e.g. coordination of repair work on scientific equipment in cooperation with internal or external service providers

• Planning and execution of equipment qualifications

• Coordination of availability of materials, solutions and reagents

• Control and maintenance of biological systems (e.g. cell cultures)

Qualifications & Experience:

• A University Degree in Natural Sciences like Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or similar (e.g., Bachelors , Masters, PhD)

• Experience with preparative and analytical methods and working with (native) proteins/plasma

• Experience with chromatography, filtration, protein handling, protein characterization

• Experience with HPLC (method development SEC) and experience with analysis of subvisible particles will be preferred

• Experience with method validation

• Knowledge of GMP regulations

• Organisational and time management / project management skills

• Detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset and proven ability to work in a team setting and independently under limited supervision

• Full professional proficiency English; good knowledge in German language will be preferred
