IT Infrastructure Support – 6520

 

We are currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist for an initial 1-year contract, with potential extension, to be based in Basel area of Switzerland.

 

The ideal candidate will have completed a degree in computer science and already have solid knowledge of Windows servers, as well as IT service management experience. Good communication skills in German and English are also required.

 

Main Responsibilities:

·      Receiving, processing, and resolving ICT fault reports, inquiries, and change requests

·      Incident and problem management

·      Planning, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations

·      Monitoring and optimizing system performance, as well as conducting error analysis and troubleshooting

·      Managing and installing applications via a software distribution solution

·      Documenting IT processes and maintaining IT inventory

·      Training employees on IT topics

·      Participation in IT projects and system enhancements

·      Continuous improvement of existing processes

·      Collaboration with internal IT partners and suppliers

·      Supporting audits and inspections

·      24/7 on-call service

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·      Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.

·      Bachelor’s degree in IT or completed training in Computer Science

·      In-depth knowledge of Windows servers, network technologies, and virtualization techniques

·      Experience in managing systems, applications, and infrastructure in the manufacturing and packaging area

·      Experience with backup and imaging solutions

·      IT service management experience

·      Experience with CSV & GMP

·      Fluent written and spoken German and English are a must

·      Good communication skills

·      Dedicated personality with a strong customer and service focus

·      Ability to work in a team
